Modulax inicia montagem do segundo alto-forno em siderúrgica da Colômbia

In 2013, Modulax Colombia finished the first of ten blast furnaces of the contract with the colombian company Andean Iron , steel mill located in Zipaquirá , Colombia . Apart from developing the project, Modulax Colombia was responsible for the manufacturing of parts, assembly and operation for all the furnaces. Wasting no time , the second blast furnace package is already engaged in assembling the same company and the city. The equipment has the capacity to produce 150,000 tons of pig iron annually. As in the first case , the industrial plant was entirely designed by Modulax’s professionals, which has its own team in the country . The two first parts are already installed: the crucible weighing 9.5 tons and ramp weight of 20 tons . Blast furnaces built by Modulax are entirely automated with last generation supervisory’s systems, ensuring full efficiency of operations .
